Hastelloy X is a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy. It has excellent oxidation resistance, workability and high temperature strength. It also exhibits good resistance to stress corrosion cracking in petrochemical applications. It shows very good ductility after prolonged exposure at 1200 to 1600 degrees Fahrenheit. It has excellent forming and welding properties, and is widely used in furnaces for aircraft and gas turbines.

HASTELLOY C276 is a Nickel-chromium-molybdenum wrought alloy that is considered the most versatile corrosion resistant alloy available. This alloy is resistant to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone, thus making it suitable for most chemical process applications in an as welded condition. Alloy C-276 also has excellent resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1900¡ãF. Alloy C-276 has exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical environments.

Hastelloy B3 fasteners offer the same excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid and other strong reducing chemicals as other B alloys, including B2, but with significantly enhanced thermal stability and easier fabrication. In addition, B3 fasteners are highly resistant to attack from cut lines and heat affected zones. Like B2 alloys, B3 fasteners are not recommended for use in the presence of iron or copper salts that can cause rapid corrosion failure.

Hastelloy Cold Drawn Tubes and Tubes – Offers good machinability, higher strength and constant degrees of freedom compared to hot rolled and cold drawn tubes. These pipes work more efficiently because their microstructure is very constant and also have increased physical properties.

Alloy C276 is a Ni-Cr-Mo alloy containing W and very low carbon and Si content.

Although Alloy C276 plate has a higher rate of work hardening compared to its austenitic counterpart, in-process annealing may be required if nickel alloy C276 plate is to be work hardened to a higher degree. Solution annealing may be required if the deformation of the nickel C276 strip exceeds 15%.

Hastelloy C22 flat washers have excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, tool marks and weld heat affected zone erosion.

This nickel steel alloy also has excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media including wet chlorine and mixtures containing nitric acid or oxidizing acids with chlorine ions.

Hastelloy Nickel Alloy B2 is a very chemically resistant alloy with high resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking in the heat affected zone. In particular, this alloy performs well in harsh environments such as sulfuric acid, hydrogen chloride and phosphoric acid. This nickel-molybdenum alloy is typically used under extreme reducing conditions and has a much lower composition of carbon, silicon and iron than Hastelloy B (Alloy B). Screws made from this alloy are also known as UNS N10665 fasteners.

HASTELLOY C276 is one of the few alloys resistant to wet chloride gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions.

The applications range from chemical, petrochemical, power generation and OEM manufacturing industry as well other applications where vibration, high pressure or extremely corrosive conditions exist.

These alloys of flanges are exceptionally resistant to stress corrosion cracking petrochemical applications. Moreover, the molybdenum content results in outstanding strength in solid solution alloy that considers excellent fabrication attributes.

Alloy B-2 has poor corrosion resistance to oxidizing environments, therefore, it is not recommended for use in oxidizing media or in the presence of iron or copper salts, which may cause rapid premature corrosion failure.

Thus these Hastelloy B2 Flanges are considered to be well suited to be used for most chemical process applications in an as-welded condition. Due to lower carbon content in the alloy, there is reduced precipitation of carbides as well as other phases in the heat-affected weld zones, which in turn ensures uniform resistance to corrosion in the flange.

Hastealloy is a term that refers to a group of corrosion resistant metal mixtures that are based on nickel. Hastealloys have a unique combination of properties that provide them with significantly stronger corrosion resistance capabilities compared to traditional alloys. As such, it was widely accepted in the chemical process and associated industries, and now has a 50-year-old track record of proven performance in a vast number of corrosive chemicals.
