1/2-4 in sizes for choice of specification steel pipe fittings ASTM A403 WP316L REDUCING TEE
ASTM A403 WP316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to 304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.
ASTM A403 WP 316L is sometimes referred to as a marine stainless steel grade. It is the second most common austenitic stainless steel after 304 stainless steel. In addition to iron, its main alloying components are chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, with small amounts of phosphorus, silicon, and sulfur. Stainless steels 316 and 316L are the second most common stainless grades after 304/304L, and are higher versions of 304 with the addition of molybdenum and a slightly higher nickel content. Stainless Steel 316 has similar properties to Type 304, except Alloy 316 is stronger at high temperatures.
