Grade 904lh stainless steel, combining excellent high temperature performance with good ductility and weldability, designed for high temperature service. The excess alloy content also provides it with additional resistance to chloride pressure corrosion cracking, however, the 904l stainless steel bar is still susceptible to chloride ion attack. The low carbon content in SS 904L flat steel gives the alloy its resistance to sensitization. This immunity helps 904L SS electrodes perform in operations such as welding, which in turn prevents intergranular corrosion from occurring.
