The super duplex stainless steel sheet has high chromium, molybdenum and nickel content and has excellent resistance to pitting, general corrosion and crevice. It should be hot worked in the range of 1875¡ãF – 2250¡ãF. This should be followed by solution annealing to at least 1925¡ãF and a rapid air or water quench.

ASTM A240 Type 2507 sheet has excellent resistance to chloride stress-related corrosion cracking, making it suitable not only for marine engineering applications, but also for freshwater and high-velocity marine environments.
