304 304L 316l sanitary stainless steel pipe fittings eccentric elbows

Stainless steel 316L elbows are used to divert pipes or turn them in another direction. It provides high creep and excellent fracture stress resistance at higher temperatures. They are said to be ideal for manufacturing or forming applications.

DIN 1.4435 LR/SR elbows are widely used in applications requiring resistance to carbide precipitation due to their low carbon content. These A403 grade WP316L tees are also resistant to grain boundary precipitation, so are said to avoid sensitization. They show good tensile strength even at low temperatures. They are widely used for heavy duty welded parts.

316l stainless steel elbow is the molybdenum-bearing elbow, second in importance to 304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives 316l stainless steel elbow better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.

316L elbow, the low carbon version of 316l stainless steel elbow and is immune from sensitization (grain boundary carbide precipitation). Thus it is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components (over about 6mm). There is commonly no appreciable price difference between 316 and 316L stainless steel.

The austenitic structure also gives 316l stainless steel elbow excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures.

Compared to chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels, 316L stainless steel offers higher creep, stress to rupture and tensile strength at elevated temperatures.

316l steel elbow is made of an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel that possesses between two and 3% molybdenum. The molybdenum content improves corrosion resistance, increases resistance to pitting in chloride ion solutions, and improves strength at high temperatures.

316l stainless steel elbow offers higher creep, stress to rupture and tensile strength at elevated temperatures than chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels.
