Although Alloy C276 plate has a higher rate of work hardening compared to its austenitic counterpart, in-process annealing may be required if nickel alloy C276 plate is to be work hardened to a higher degree. Solution annealing may be required if the deformation of the nickel C276 strip exceeds 15%.

Precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steels have comparable corrosion resistance to austenitic grades, but can be precipitation hardened to higher strengths than other martensitic grades. The most common 17-4PH uses about 17% chromium and 4% nickel. The Lockheed-Martin Joint Strike Fighter was the first aircraft to use precipitation-hardenable stainless steel Carpenter Custom 465 in its fuselage.

An important feature of Incoloy UNS N08800 Elbow is that it not only exhibits good mechanical properties at ambient temperature conditions, but also performs well at high temperature settings up to 1000¡ãF.

Incoloy 825 alloy is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy that combines molybdenum, copper and titanium for excellent resistance to many corrosive environments. Incoloy 825 is very corrosion resistant. Alloy 400 fasteners have a melting point of 1350 degrees Celsius. The density of the material is higher than most chrome-nickel stainless steels. The density of Monel 400 material is 8.8 grams per cubic centimeter. The strength also exceeds that of the 304, 316 and 310 grades of austenitic stainless steels. The minimum yield strength is 240MPa and the minimum tensile strength is 550MPa. UNS N04400 Studs are made from a single strand of Monel 400 material.

A flange is a ring of steel (forged, cut from plate, or rolled) designed to connect sections of pipe, or to join pipe to a pressure vessel, valve, pump or other integral flanged assembly. Flanges are joined to each other by bolts, and to the piping system by welding or threading (or loose when stub ends are used).
