317 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel that contains molybdenum. The corrosion resistance of this grade is better than 304/304L and 316/316L. 317/317L By controlling the amount of nitrogen added, 317L generally meets the performance of straight grade 317 except for the lower carbon content.

The machining of these sheets is done by cold forming and hot forming. Thus, the sheet is drawn, punched and sheared during cold working. Therefore, both treatments can be performed at different temperature levels. However, in addition to other contents such as chromium and nickel, the plates are also made of the best stainless steel.
