Austenitic stainless steel 304 L is favored by most buyers for its excellent weldability and is a low carbon version of the very popular alloy 304. 309 stainless steel is a type of austenitic stainless steel that is often used in high-temperature applications due to its excellent heat resistance. SA240 309 plate contains a high percentage of chromium and nickel, which gives it good corrosion resistance, as well as a high degree of strength and durability. SS 309 Strip (UNS S30900) is an austenitic stainless steel developed for use in high temperature corrosion resistance applications. The SA240 309 plate resists oxidation up to 1900°F (1038°C) under non-cyclic conditions. Frequent thermal cycling reduces oxidation resistance to approximately 1850°F (1010°C).

The 904L grade stainless steel is widely used for various commercial purposes and is known for its abrasion resistance properties. The AISI 904L Stainless Steel Hex Nuts come with low carbon content, as low as 0.02%, which makes them resistant to sensitization by welding. In other words, the UNS S08904 Threaded Rod and other equipment of the same steel grade are resistant to intergranular corrosion.

904l stainless steel plate is a super austenitic stainless steel that provides moderate to high corrosion resistance in a variety of environments. A mixture of chromium and nickel content, along with the addition of molybdenum and copper, provides excellent corrosion resistance. With nickel 25% and molybdenum 4.5%, ASTM B625 UNS N08904 provides good resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, pitting and general corrosion, which are superior to 316L and 317L.
