347 pipe and spool drawings stabilized by the addition of columbium and tantalum
Alloy 347H (UNS S3409) stainless steel plate is the higher carbon (0.04 ¨C 0.10) version of the alloy.
Alloy 347 stainless steel plate does not perform well in chloride solutions, even in low concentrations or sulfuric acid. Type 347 has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to this temperature range, this grade resists oxidation at temperatures up to 1500¡ãF, and has higher creep and stress rupture properties than 304/304L. Due to the addition of niobium (niobium) and tantalum, alloy 347 has slightly improved corrosion resistance in strongly oxidizing environments over other stainless steel alloys.
