SA276 316 rod 420 150mm aisi 304 solid 416r grade stainless steel round bar
A round bar is a cylindrical metal rod with a radius of 5 mm to 450 mm and a length of 2 to 6 meters. Bars and bars are also available in hexagonal and square shapes. One of them is UNS S32760 round bar, equivalent to Werkstoff NR 1.4410. It has a diameter of 10 to 100 mm, an ultimate tensile strength of 750 ksi and a minimum stress of 550 N/mm2.

Grade 316 is the standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to 304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives A479 Gr 316 bar better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. A479 Gr 316 bar has excellent forming and welding characteristics. 316 stainless steel bar is usually regarded as the “marine grade stainless steel” but is not resistant to warm seawater. The most common applications of UNS S31600 bars are springs, threaded fasteners, heat exchangers, boat fittings, screens for mining, and chemical containers, including for transport.
It is common for 316 and 316L to be stocked in “Dual Certified” form – mainly in plate and pipe. These ASTM A276 Type 316 Rods have chemical and mechanical properties complying with both 316 and 316L specifications. Such dual certified product does not meet 316H specification and may be unacceptable for high temperature applications. The 316 Stainless Steel Hollow Bars are a mechanical tubing which is mainly used for mechanical and machining applications. Stainless Steel 316 Round Bars have high strength, durability and 316 Stainless Steel Round Bars are capable of withstanding high temperatures. SS 316 Hex Bars can also resist corrosion effectively. The AISI 316 Annealed Stainless Steel Bars also has similar properties, but they have better corrosion resisting capabilities. This is due to the annealing process. However, Stainless Steel 316 Square Bar comes with less strength when compared to the 316 ss Hollow bars. The chemical composition of the SS 316 bars and SS 316 rods are the same, but they have a different structure. The bar is solid, rigid and has a uniform cross-section which is smaller than its length. Stainless Steel 316 Square Bar has a flat surface. The rod can be defined as a cylindrical and elongated object which has curved cross sectional area having an uniform circumference.
