904L molybdenum addition pipe prefabrication
The addition of copper to this grade gives it better corrosion resistance than conventional chromium-nickel stainless steels, especially against sulfuric, phosphoric and acetic acids. However, the use of hydrochloric acid is limited.
Type 904L is a high alloy austenitic stainless steel known for its corrosion resistance. While its unique hardness allows it to withstand extreme conditions, it also requires special machinery and production processes to shape. Visually, grade 904L steel has a beautifully high polish and beautifully aged. It is widely used in the chemical processing industry, including the production of phosphate fertilizers.
