A182 F51 2205 S31803 flange ring with 290HB Brinell hardness
F51 duplex stainless steel is especially suitable for use in the temperature range of -50¡ãF/+600¡ãF, and can also be used for lower temperatures under strictly limited conditions (especially for welded structures).
The duplex microstructure of stainless steel helps to improve the resistance of stainless steel to stress corrosion cracking. Under the conditions of certain temperature, stress tension, oxygen and chloride, austenitic stainless steel will undergo chloride stress corrosion. SAF 2205 Round Bars are nitrogen-enhanced duplex stainless steel developed to combat common corrosion problems encountered with the 300 series stainless steel. The tensile strength of the material is 620MPa and the minimum yield strength is 450MPa.
