acero inox placa lamina bobina 317L S31703 norma

Alloy 317L (UNS S31703) is a low carbon corrosion resistant austenitic chromium nickel molybdenum stainless steel. High levels of these elements ensure that the alloy has chloride pitting and general corrosion resistance superior to traditional 304/304L and 316/316L grades. This alloy provides increased resistance relative to 316L in highly corrosive environments with sulfur-containing media, chlorides and other halides.

317L stainless steel plate is an austenitic, molybdenum-containing stainless steel grade that offers increased chemical resistance compared to basic chromium-nickel alloys such as 304. Due to its chemical composition, this steel sheet has higher creep strength and fracture stress and tensile strength, especially at high temperatures. This stainless steel sheet is a low carbon grade with increased resistance to sensitization during welding and other important thermal processes. Alloy 317L is non-magnetic in the annealed condition. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment, but the material will harden by cold working. Alloy 317L can be easily welded and machined by standard shop fabrication practices.

Alloy 317L is a low carbon, high molybdenum austenitic stainless steel with a higher nickel alloy content than 316L. Developed to resist attack by sulfuric acid compounds, this alloy combines good corrosion resistance, excellent mechanical properties and ease of manufacture. These alloys are frequently used in flue gas desulfurization services in fossil fuel power plants. Compared to other austenitic stainless steels, 317L has higher creep strength, fracture stress and tensile strength at elevated temperatures.
