acero inox placa lamina bobina 317L S31703
Alloy 317L (UNS S31703) is a molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel with significantly improved chemical resistance compared to conventional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels such as alloy 304. Additionally, Alloy 317L has higher creep, stress-fracture and tensile strength at elevated temperatures than conventional stainless steels. It is a low carbon or “L” grade that provides resistance to sensitization during welding and other thermal processes.
317L stainless steel plate is an austenitic, molybdenum-containing stainless steel grade that offers increased chemical resistance compared to basic chromium-nickel alloys such as 304. Due to its chemical composition, this steel sheet has higher creep strength and fracture stress and tensile strength, especially at high temperatures. This stainless steel sheet is a low carbon grade with increased resistance to sensitization during welding and other important thermal processes.
The low carbon content of Alloy 317L allows it to be welded without intergranular corrosion due to chromium carbide precipitation, allowing it to be used in the as-welded condition. The alloy is dual certified to Alloy 317 (UNS S31700) with the addition of nitrogen as a strengthening agent.
The higher molybdenum and chromium content of 317L provides excellent corrosion resistance compared to stainless steel grades such as 304 or 316, and is resistant to phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid and chloride pitting/crevice corrosion. The low carbon content of this grade 317 also provides resistance to sensitization during welding, which allows it to maintain its corrosion resistance at grain boundaries and prevent intergranular stress corrosion cracking.
