HASTELLOY C-276 alloy is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium wrought alloy generally considered a general purpose corrosion resistant alloy. The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation during welding to maintain the corrosion resistance of the welded structure. This nickel alloy resists the formation of grain boundary deposits in the weld heat affected zone, making it suitable for most chemical process applications in the as-welded state. Hastelloy C276 seamless pipe is designated UNS N10276 and Werkstoff number 2.4819. Hastelloy C276 Welded Pipe is suitable for welding by commonly used welding techniques. Extreme heat generation should be avoided during the welding of C276 alloy tubes.
