Hastelloy C276 boards can be easily welded using the most traditional processes. In general, 2.4819 Hastelloy C276 Coil does not require post weld heat treatment. Brushing these boards with stainless steel wire after the welding operation usually removes the hot color and likewise creates surface areas that do not require additional pickling.

Chromium provides oxidative resistance to conditions such as nitrates and oxidizing salts and nitric acid solutions. It offers excellent corrosion resistance through phosphoric and sulfuric acid and is generally the most cost-effective alloy for sulfuric acid service.
