ASME B18.2.1 B18.2.2 Full UNC UN UNF Threaded ASTM A320 L7 Hex Bolt And Nuts
ASTM A320 L7 Stud Bolts are designed for low temperature performance. These fasteners are commonly used in valves, flanges, fittings and pressure vessels. The ASTM specification recommends a minimum impact value of 20-ft-lbf -150F for ASTM A320 L7 studs.
Due to its low carbon content, ASTM A320 Hex Bolts also provides resistance to sensitization when welded and higher creep, stress to rupture, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures. In addition to excellent corrosion resistance and strength properties, ASTM A320 Hex Nuts provides the excellent fabricability and formability. ASTM A320 Bolts has higher creep, stress-to-rupture and tensile strengths than other steels. For optimum corrosion resistance, a post-work annealing in ASTM A320 Eye Nuts is recommended. At temperatures under 100 Degree F (38 Degree C), they have excellent resistance to higher concentrations. The ASTM A320 possesses several fastener grades manufactured from either alloy or stainless steel and are intended for cold temperature applications. Both Grade L7 and L7M are manufactured from a quenched and tempered alloy steel. While the chemical requirements for both Grades L7 and L7M are identical, there are several differences that separate the two grades.
