The duplex structure results in improved stress-corrosion cracking resistance, compared with the austenitic stainless steels, and improved toughness and ductility, compared with the ferritic stainless steels.

There are different types of flanges such as slip on flanges, socket weld flanges, forged flanges, blind flanges, reducing flanges and many by their functions.

The material of the super duplex S32750 sheet has increased tensile strength and yield strength. Super Duplex Steel UNS S32750 plate has good ductility and toughness. AISI S32750 plate has good corrosion resistance compared to Duplex. The material of the super duplex steel S32750 plate has higher corrosion resistance.

2205 duplex stainless steel is more than double that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel. This characteristic allows designers to reduce weight when designing products, giving this alloy a price advantage over 316,317L.

The material is also resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking, to erosion corrosion, to corrosion fatigue, to general corrosion in acids. This alloy has good weldability and very high mechanical strength.

The advantages of duplex steels include: good weldability and machinability, high resistance to corrosion fatigue, resistance to stress corrosion cracking (especially chloride stress corrosion cracking), erosion and high energy absorption.

For duplex S31803 nuts, 2 minutes to 3 minutes per mm of wall thickness at temperatures around 1080 degrees Celsius is sufficient to achieve a balanced austenite/ferrite ratio. After annealing, it is recommended to cool these Duplex S32205 nuts as soon as possible.

S31803 has been supplemented by S32205 (F60) which dual conforms to S31803 but has a higher minimum N, MO, NI and Cr which guarantees a better corrosion resistance.

Duplex 2205 is a nitrogen enhanced duplex stainless steel designed to solve common corrosion problems encounutered with 300 series stainless steels.

Heated from 1050¡ãC to 1150¡ãC and water quenched, this treatment of duplex steel UNS S31803 nuts ensures that all carbides are dissolved.

The structure of 2205 duplex stainless steel consists of a pool of austenite surrounded by a continuous ferrite phase. In the annealed condition, 2205 contains approximately 40-50% ferrite. 2205 is often referred to as the workhorse grade and is the most widely used grade in the duplex stainless steel family.
