Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Nickel Alloy 400 is known for its resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions, including alkalis (or acids), salt water, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. Since Monel 400 or Alloy 400 is a cold worked metal, this alloy has high hardness, stiffness and strength. 904L stainless steel combines molybdenum and copper with iron for tremendously increased resistance to reducing acids like sulphuric acid. It stands up extremely well to chlorides in the environment for low pitting and crevice corrosion, as well as stress corrosion cracking.

The Incoloy 800Ht Pipe is a slight modification to the 800H alloys. In these pipes the combined titanium and aluminum levels allow the pipes to work at slightly higher temperatures than the 800h alloys. Both these alloys can be dual certified and are preferred for use in high-temperature setups.
