Hastelloy X fasteners, also known as UNS N06002 fasteners, have excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature strength. It is very resistant to stress corrosion cracking but has excellent ductility when subjected to 16,00 hours of torture at temperatures up to 1,600F. It is also suitable for furnaces, heaters and many high temperature applications because it is weldable, heat treatable and relatively easy to machine. 316 stainless steel has a similar chemical composition to 304, but also contains molybdenum. This addition makes it more resistant to corrosion. Inconel fasteners, such as Inconel 600, 601, 625, 686, 718, 725 and X750 fasteners, are a family of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys for high strength and good corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures.

904L Stainless is the most common of the ¡°4% Molybdenum¡± alloys. It was designed to be an upgrade to 316L and Alloy 20 without incurring the expense of Alloy C276. 904L Stainless has been surpassed in popularity by the ¡°6% Molybdenum¡± alloys such as AL6XN?. Its availability in round bar is limited to metric sizes in 5mm increments. Consequently, inch-size diameter-headed bolts are relatively expensive to manufacture.

Monel K500 alloy has the same corrosion resistance as Monel 400 alloy.

This protective layer enables titanium to become an excellent corrosion-resistant element¡ªalmost as effective as platinum. This property makes it resistant to even strong liquids such as sulfuric acid, moist chlorine gas, chloride solutions, hydrochloric acid, and most organic acids.

Monel K500, UNS N05500 (QQ-N-286), is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-copper alloy that combines the corrosion resistance of Monel alloy 400 with greater strength (over 2x as strong) and hardness. It also has low permeability and is nonmagnetic to temperatures as low as -150¡ãF (-101¡ãC).

Another important role of stainless steel flange is that when a section of pipe does not need continuous connection, it needs to be partially blocked. At this time, the pipe can be easily sealed by using the flange.
