Manufacturer of Astm A240 Type Super Duplex 2507 Perforated Sheet and Coil /foil in different length or cut to size at distributor price

ASTM A240 specification covers several chromium and chromium alloy based stainless steel grades. This specification covers the above alloys fabricated in ASTM A240 Type 2507 Super Duplex Plate, Sheet, or Strip. Generally, 5mm thick cold rolled super duplex 2507 sheet specified by ASTM A240 is designed for the following applications not only for pressure vessels but also for general applications.

Duplex 2507 is a super duplex stainless steel designed for applications requiring excellent strength and corrosion resistance. Alloy 2507 contains 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel. This high molybdenum, chromium and nitrogen content results in excellent resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion attack, and the dual phase structure gives 2507 excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Use of Duplex 2507 should be limited to applications below 600° F (316° C). Prolonged exposure to high temperatures reduces the toughness and corrosion resistance of Alloy 2507.

UNS S32750 (Alloy 2507) is a super duplex grade with PREN values between 40 and 43. As a duplex stainless steel, it has higher resistance to stress corrosion cracking and higher strength than austenitic stainless steels, as well as improved toughness and ductility compared to ferritic stainless steels. Alloy 2507 (S32750) exhibits better resistance to general corrosion and chloride stress cracking corrosion than standard duplex stainless alloy 2205 (S32205) due to increased additions of chromium, molybdenum, nickel and nitrogen.
