astm a335 p11 material alloy pipe price

Alloy steel pipes are used for high temperature and very low temperature service (low temperature) in the energy industry, or for very high pressure applications. ASTM A335 Alloy Steel Pipe is suitable for ASTM A234 WPx Series Butt Weld Fittings (WP5, WP9, WP91) and A182 Fx Forged Fittings and Flanges (A182 F5, F9, F11, F22, F91). All of these materials have similar chemical and mechanical properties and can be joined or welded.

The standard specification for A234 WP91 covers both fittings that have been constructed with both seamless as well as welded construction. In the term A234 WP91, WP91 is known as one of the steel grades in this particular standard where W means weldable, while P stands for pressure and the number 91 is referred to as grade 91.

To illustrate, the letter W in the word WP stands for weldable, while the letter P stands for pressure, and the number 91 is its rating. Industries such as oil, gas, water treatment, chemical, and power plants commonly use ASTM A234 WP91 fittings in their everyday applications. Due to the lower alloy content in the fittings specified by ASTM A234, their hardness is higher. As a result, A234 WP91 Welded Fittings tend to perform better in applications requiring abrasion resistance and moderate to very low corrosion resistance. Butt welded joints, such as ASTM A234, are specifications that cover seamless joints and welded joints constructed of different grades of carbon and alloy steels. One such grade is the WP91 accessory.
