Having a UNS Designation of S50400, A335 P9 material composition is that of Silicon(max.) 0.50, Molybdenum 0.45 – 0.65, Carbon(max.) 0.15, Chromium 4.00 – 6.00 and Manganese 0.30 – 0.60. Mechanical properties of A335 P9 pipes are that they have a minimum Yield Strength of 205 Mpa, S50400 pipe have a minimum Tensile Strength of 415 Mpa and they have a minimum elongation percentage of 30/20 L/T. A335 P9 surface treatment can be done by phosphating, varnishing, shot blasting, oil-dip and passivation.
