Astm A479 F904l N08904 316 T Bar Sus317l Round 304 18Crni8 Stainless Steel Rod 304L And 316L
Characteristics of 304: As a heat-resistant grade, 304 stainless steel bar has good corrosion resistance to many chemical corrosive agents and industrial environments. And with good formability, 304 can be easily welded by all common methods. An ultra-low carbon variant called 304L avoids harmful carbide precipitation from welding. This variation provides the same corrosion resistance as 304, but with slightly lower mechanical properties.
Similar to many austenitic stainless steel alloys, 904L has excellent corrosion resistance. Originally, this alloy was used to combat rot caused by exposure to sulfuric acid. The primary purpose of designing the 904l grade stainless steel round bar is to enable the alloy to sustain itself in varying concentrations of sulfuric acid.
Stainless Steel 904l Round Bar is a low carbon version of stainless steel with many beneficial properties such as durability, resistance and flexibility.
Unlike grade 304 and even alloy 316, sulfuric acid is a highly corrosive solution and has little effect on DIN 1.4539 flat bars in the temperature range of 35°C to 40°C. Sulfuric acid is an oxidizing acid that dissolves metals such as copper. Under concentrated conditions, if exposed to water, the hygroscopic nature of this acid can cause an exothermic reaction that corrodes many metals.
