Butt welding fittings Inconel 600 elbows have a long service life
Inconel Alloy 600 is designated as UNS N06600 and Werkstoff Number 2.4816.
Due to work hardening, Inconel 600 should be machined in the annealed condition as it can be challenging. With high-duty tooling, this material can be machined similarly to stainless steel 304 and cold formed using conventional fabrication methods. It can be welded using standard welding, brazing, and soldering techniques without needing post-weld annealing. The strength and oxidation resistance of Alloy 600 at high temperatures make it useful for many applications in the heat treating industry. For retorts, muffle furnaces, drum furnaces and other furnace components, as well as for heat treatment baskets and trays.
