Butt-welding Pipe Fittings Incoloy 800H 1.4958 Stub End
Incoloy is a group of superalloys with good electrical resistance and tolerances. Incoloy 800 is an alloy of iron, nickel and chromium. These alloys are extremely resistant to corrosion and oxidation. They are not easily deformed or broken down under extreme pressure and heat. The alloy has medium strength and Incoloy 800 material has excellent mechanical properties.
Incoloy 800H and 800HT are nickel-iron-chromium alloys with very good strength and excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization in high temperature environments. These nickel-steel alloys are indistinguishable apart from the large amount of carbon in the 800H alloy and the expansion of up to 1.20% aluminum and titanium in the 800HT alloy. Incoloy 800 was the first of these alloys and was later transformed into Incoloy 800H. This change is to control carbon (.05-.10%) and grain size to improve stress fracture performance.
