Butt-welding Pipe Fittings Incoloy 800H NCF 800H Stub End
Alloys 800, 800H and 800HT are nickel-iron-chromium alloys with good strength and excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization at high temperature exposure.
This alloy has good ductility and can be rapidly formed by a variety of standard techniques. Since the alloy is stronger than stable steel, more power is required to form it. Heavy duty lubricants should be used during cold forming. It is critical to completely clean all traces of lubricant for the part to be formed, as the alloy may embrittle at high temperatures if lubricant is left behind.
These nickel steel alloys are identical except for the higher carbon content in the 800H/HT alloy and the addition of up to 1.20% aluminum and titanium in the 800HT alloy.
