Chemical Composition stainless steel 316 S31600 pipe
Service tubes made of Type 316 stainless steel provide a hygienic, corrosion-resistant and long-lasting solution for 100 years or more.
Grade 316 stainless steel has a molybdenum-containing grade, making it more resistant to corrosion abuse than Grade 304. This is especially evident in high sulfuric, hydrochloric, formic and tartaric acid environments where pitting corrosion typically persists.
Stainless Steel 316 is an austenitic stainless steel with a molybdenum concentration of 2-3%. The addition of molybdenum enhances the metal’s resistance to pitting and corrosion, as well as its resilience to high temperatures.
