Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Hex bolts are used to fasten two or more parts together to form an assembly either because it cannot be manufactured as a single part or to allow for maintenance and repair disassembly. Alloy 600 (UNS N06600) is a nickel-based alloy with excellent carburization and good oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. This alloy has long been used in the heat treatment industry for the same applications as RA330. Alloy 600 has useful resistance to dry Cl2 and HCl gases at moderately elevated temperatures. Due to the elevated nickel content, alloy 600 is not recommended for use in red hot conditions when sulfur is present.
