DIN931 933 Bolts M1-M160 heavy hex bolt A193 B7 hex bolt alloy bolt
This is useful for selecting bolts with different strength levels for different high pressure and high temperature applications. ASTM A193 grade b7 hex bolts and other types have a minimum tensile strength of up to 125ksi.
Smaller diameter bolts have the highest strength values. B7M grades have lower tensile strengths up to 100ksi. A193 B7 bolts are made of chrome molybdenum steel and are hardened and tempered to achieve the required mechanical properties. B7 grade bolts are the most commonly used grades in construction. B7 hex bolts achieve their strength through a heat treatment process of quenching and tempering at 1150 degrees Fahrenheit. B7 hex bolts are favored for their excellent heat resistance and tensile strength. The steel is available either drawn or turned, depending on the metric and imperial dimensions of the standard and thread rolling diameter. Typical stock sizes in the B7/L7 range from 8mm to 4″ diameter, with the B7 only being 110mm to 130mm diameter.
