Hastelloy B3 2.4600 bolt stud bolt DIN976 bolts manufacturer
Hastelloy B3 bolts are also known as alloy B-3 bolts and can be found under UNS N10675. This alloy is extremely resistant to pure hydrobromic, sulfuric and hydrochloric acids. Many industries, including the chemical industry, consider the alloy easy to machine, and its ductility allows machinists to easily form and even weld.
What distinguishes the Hastelloy B3 fastener from its predecessor is its excellent ductility during transient exposure to intermediate temperatures (i.e. machining, heat treatment) due to its lower carbon content. This nickel-molybdenum alloy is typically available in bar, wire, sheet and plate form. At the same time, HASTELLOY B3 alloy is suitable for all applications that previously required the use of HASTELLOY B-2 alloy. As with B-2 alloys, B-3 is not recommended in the presence of iron or copper salts as these salts may cause rapid corrosion failure. When hydrochloric acid comes into contact with iron or copper, iron or copper salts may be formed.
