Hastelloy B3 N10675 pipe bend used to attach two pieces of conduit pipe or chain
Each method has unique benefits and will determine the degree of bending possible and the final shape of the pipe.
Hastelloy B3 pipe bend is the generic term for what is called in piping as an ¡°offset¡± ¨C a change in direction of the piping. A Hastelloy B3 bend is usually meant to mean nothing more than that there is a ¡°bend¡± ¨C a change in direction of the piping (usually for some specific reason) ¨C but it lacks specific, engineering definition as to direction and degree. Most Hastelloy B3 induction bends are manufactured with tangent ends (straight sections) that are not affected by the induction bending process. Field welds are made or pipe pup sections are attached to the unaffected tangent ends, allowing for fitup similar to that found when welding straight sections of pipe together.
