The Corrosion Resistant HASTELLOY alloys are widely used by the chemical processing industries. The need for reliable performance leads to their acceptance and growth in the areas of energy, health and environmental, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and flue gas desulfurization industries.

Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium-tungsten alloy with excellent general corrosion resistance and good machinability. Alloy B Its popularity has been hindered by its availability. All of these materials are good against reducing acids, but very hard against oxidizing acids. Due to the high molybdenum content, this alloy is relatively expensive than other alloys. At the same time, it has excellent corrosion resistance to medium-concentrated sulfuric acid and various non-oxidizing acids, good resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC), and good resistance to various organic acids.

Brushing these boards with stainless steel wire after the welding operation usually removes the hot color and likewise creates surface areas that do not require additional pickling.

Hastelloy C276 alloy is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium wrought alloy that is considered a “multifunctional corrosion-resistant alloy”. Hastelloy C276 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to both oxidizing and reducing media and excellent resistance to localized corrosion attack. The material also contains cobalt, tungsten, iron, silicon, manganese, carbon and vanadium in its composition. Due to this special combination, C276 Hastelloy bolts are also very resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion.

Hastelloy C-276 also has exceptional resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres, as well as excellent resistance to multiple different chemical environments.

NAS NW276 is a Ni Cr Mo alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. In this alloy, carbide precipitation in the heat affected zone (HAZ) is suppressed and corrosion resistance is improved by reducing the contents of C and Si.

This nickel alloy provides excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures. In additions, Hastelloy B2 pipe bend has excellent resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking and to knife-line and heat-affected zone attack.

HASTELLOY(r) C276 is solution heat treated at 1121¡ãC (2050¡ãF) and then rapidly quenched. In the case of forging or hot forming, parts should be solution heat treated prior to use.
