hastelloy c276 N10276 pipes with WN flanges elbow and tee
Alloy C-276 is also defined as Alloy C276, Inconel C 276 or Hastelloy C, which is a superalloy with a perfect combination of molybdenum, nickel and chromium. Tungsten is added, which is designed to provide excellent corrosion resistance even in harsh environments.
Hastelloy has good resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Alloy C-276 prevents the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat affected zone, so it is suitable for most chemical process applications in the as-welded state. However, if the C-276 alloy weld joint is subject to attack in certain environments, C-22 weld filler metal should be considered. It is also used in components that require extreme corrosion resistance in harsh environments where traditional materials such as stainless steel 316 fall short.
