hastelloy c276 pipe nickel alloy N10276 2.4819
It is used in flue gas desulfurization systems because of its excellent resistance to sulfur compounds and chloride ions encounted in most scrubbers. C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to pitting and to stress-corrosion cracking. It is also one of the few materials that withstands the corrosive effects of wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide.
Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium-tungsten alloy with excellent general corrosion resistance and good machinability. The alloy should be considered for use in environments requiring resistance to thermally contaminated inorganic acids, organic and inorganic chloride-contaminated media, chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, seawater and brine solutions. Nickel alloy C-276 resists the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat affected zone, making it a candidate for most chemical and petrochemical processing applications in the as-welded state. HC276 is a nickel alloy with excellent resistance to reducing acids, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, brine solutions, oxidizing chlorides and hot sea water.
