Hastelloy C-276 is made from a nickel-molybdenum-chromium combination. This metal was designed as an improvement over Alloy C. Unlike Alloy C, Hastelloy C-276 does not require heat treatment after welding. It is often used as a multipurpose solution for mixed conditions where any number of corrosive, oxidizing and interacting media can occur.

Alloy C276 is a variation of the nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy Hastelloy. It also has various supplements. The addition of tungsten provides strength to this alloy. It is a highly corrosion resistant alloy. The molybdenum and nickel contents make the alloy very resistant to pitting corrosion.
