With HASTELLOY C-276 alloy, the levels of Molybdenum and Chromium allow it to maintain its integrity in oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids. Hastelloy C-276 has superior resistance to localized corrosion as well as oxidizing. Like other nickel alloys, it is easy to form, ductile, it is easy to weld, and possesses exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-bearing solutions. In addition, it has excellent resistance to pitting as well. HASTELLOY C276 is generally used in the solution treated condition. This alloy is soaked at 1121¡ãC (2050¡ãF) and then quenched in a rapid manner.
