HASTELLOY C276 is not prone to grain boundary precipitation in the as welded condition and therefore suitable for many chemical process applications.

ASTM B619 UNS N10276 C276 pipes are also available in other shapes such as square, rectangular and hexagonal pipes. 2.4819 Hastelloy C-276 Alloy C276 pipe is used in applications where bending should not reduce strength. NAS NW276 is a Ni Cr Mo alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. In this alloy, carbide precipitation in the heat affected zone (HAZ) is suppressed and corrosion resistance is improved by reducing the contents of C and Si.

Alloy C276 plate is a high strength grade designed to be thicker than 6mm. The panels have a minimum tensile strength of 601mpa and a minimum yield strength of 204.8mpa. C276 composite panels are made by bonding two or metals in place. Meanwhile, Alloy C276 is resistant to oxidation at 1800¡ãF in the open air. However, alloy C276 is generally not recommended for high temperature service. The high molybdenum content makes alloy C276 prone to catastrophic oxidation under stagnant conditions, such as under solid deposits.

Alloy C276 nickel alloy plate is one of the premier corrosion resistant materials that performs exceptionally well in both oxidizing and reducing environments. HASTELLOY C276 is a Nickel-chromium-molybdenum wrought alloy that is considered the most versatile corrosion resistant alloy available. This alloy is resistant to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone, thus making it suitable for most chemical process applications in an as welded condition. Alloy C-276 also has excellent resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1900¡ãF. Alloy C-276 has exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical environments.

INCONEL C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments, including strong oxidizers such as ferric and cupric chlorides, hot contaminated media (organic and inorganic), chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, and seawater and brine solutions.

Alloy C-276 is also defined as Alloy C276, Inconel C 276 or Hastelloy C, which is a superalloy with a perfect combination of molybdenum, nickel and chromium. Tungsten is added, which is designed to provide excellent corrosion resistance even in harsh environments.

Alloy C276 Forged Flange Hastelloy C276 Flanges are made up of the nickel chromium molybdenum alloy that is called hastelloy. The composition includes 50.99% nickel, 14.5% chromium, 15% molybdenum and carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, cobalt, iron and phosphorus in it. The Hastelloy C276 Flanges have high melting point of 1370 degrees Celsius. This high melting point allows for higher operating temperatures of the flanges. The material also has 790MPa minimum tensile strength and 355MPa minimum yield strength.

C22 nickel alloy fasteners offer better overall corrosion resistance than its sister alloy Hastelloy C-276, and more specifically, it offers better protection when used in certain saturated wet chlorine environments. Additionally, its high chromium content provides C22 fasteners with better resistance to oxidative media than C276. This makes it excellent resistance to chloride-induced pitting, although in most cases C-276 fasteners are a more cost-effective option due to their availability, especially in sizes smaller than 1/ 2″ case.

UNS N10276 Sheets has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, pressure corrosion cracking and a far higher resistance to crevice corrosion than steels of alloy.
