High Performance Alloy Hastelloy C276 Bushing bearing
Bushings are similar to thin tubes most commonly used in machinery with rotating or sliding shafts to increase efficiency and reduce vibration and noise. Bushings can be used for drilling operations in drill stands, hydraulic external gear pumps and motors.
Bushings may seem small, but they play an important role in driver comfort and the longevity of a vehicle’s steering and suspension systems. Bushings act as a cushion between parts, controlling the amount of joint movement while reducing road noise, vibration and harshness. Hastelloy C276 bushing is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium superalloy with the addition of tungsten, designed for excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of harsh environments. The high nickel and molybdenum contents make nickel steel alloys particularly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in reducing environments, while chromium is resistant to oxidizing media.
