Hastelloy C2000 Tubes are used in a broad range of industries including petrochemical processing, chemical processing equipment manufacturing, oil refineries and power plants.

It is able to withstand a wide range of oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals, and exhibits outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides.

The alloy is forged between 2250/1750oF (1230/955oC) and then soaked at the forging temperature for 30 minutes per inch of billet or ingot section thickness. Forging should begin immediately, the billet is removed from the reheat furnace, a 25/40% reduction helps retain as much internal heat as possible. The Ni-Cr-Mo superalloy Hastelloy C276 has excellent resistance in strong acid and alkali media and prevents pitting, crevice corrosion and SCC. Hastelloy C276 also has broad resistance to wet chloride gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide media.

Alloy C-276 also has excellent resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1900¡ãF. Alloy C-276 has exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical environments.

Hastelloy B3 Weld Neck Flange is not recommended for use in the presence of ferric or cupric salts because these salts can cause premature failure.
