Incoloy 800H plate 1.4958 sheet coil strip

Alloy 800 Coils are also used in extruded tubing for ethylene and steam methane reformers. The higher creep rupture strength of the Nickel 800 sheet is a result of the aluminum, carbon and titanium content.

Since Nickel 800 plate is prone to work hardening, only low cutting speeds should be used and cutting tools should always be used. For high temperature applications requiring optimum rupture and creep properties, use Nickel 800 coils. Incoloy 800H contains 0.2% titanium for specific applications. Applications include heat exchangers, process piping, furnace components, furnace heating element jackets, and ammonia vent coolers. Incoloy 800H is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy with the same basic composition as Incoloy 800, but with significantly improved creep rupture strength. Higher strength results from tight control of carbon, aluminum and titanium content and high temperature annealing. The 800H modification is to control carbon (0.05 to 0.10%) and grain size (>ASTM 5) to optimize stress fracture properties.
