Alloy 825 is stabilized annealed at the mill to resist intergranular corrosion during welding. Alloys may exhibit severe intergranular corrosion in some very corrosive environments if exposed to the sensitive temperature range of 1200-1400¡ãF for extended periods of time. Meanwhile, Inconel 825 or Incoloy 825 is a grade mainly composed of nickel, chromium and iron, but also contains copper, titanium and molybdenum. The composition has excellent resistance to a range of corrosive environments. This alloy is intermediate between molybdenum, nickel and titanium, with excellent resistance to sulfuric and phosphoric acid, resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, and with proper heat treatment, its susceptibility to intergranular corrosion remains stable.
