Incoloy 926 Stainless Steel Flange HIGH QUALITY ALLOY 926 Flange
Incoloy 926 (N08926) nickel-based alloy contains 14.0-18.0% Cr and 24.0-26.0% Ni. It is a nickel-based alloy containing titanium and aluminum, with enough chromium to form and maintain a sufficient scale of chromium oxide to protect it under high temperature conditions.
Compared with Cronifer 1925 LC-Alloy 904 L, the mechanical properties are greatly improved. Corrosion Resistance Incoloy 926 Stainless Steel Flange is made of a fully austenitic alloy with excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Performance in these areas is often measured using critical pitting temperature (CPT), critical crevice temperature (CCT) and pitting resistance equivalent value (PREN). The corrosion resistance of stainless steels basically depends on their chemical composition. In general, the higher the PREN, the better the pitting resistance. As a general rule, the higher the PREN, the better the resistance to pitting. However, alloys having similar values may differ considerably in actual service. Those with values greater than 38 on the PREN scale offer more corrosion resistance than the austenitic stainless steels. INCOLOY alloy 926, with its PREN of 47, offers a cost-effective means of avoiding aggressive chloride attack.
