incoloy alloy 825 tubing N08825 2.4858
Designed to be used for general corrosive applications, the nickel based Incoloy 825 Tubing is often produced keeping in accordance with the ASTM B163/ASME SB 163 specification. The 2.4858 Inconel 825 Tubes can be manufactured either by hot finishing or by cold working. On the other hand, ASTM specified SB 163 UNS N08825 Alloy 825 Tube is intended to be used for condenser and heat exchanger applications. The ASTM B163 specified UNS N08825 Tubing covers important dimensions like outside diameter and average wall.
Known as Nickel Alloy 825, Incoloy 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with small amounts of molybdenum, copper and titanium. This combination gives Incoloy 825 enhanced corrosion resistance in the harshest environments. Alloy 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium-molybdenum alloy with good corrosion resistance to sulfuric and phosphoric acids and seawater. It is similar to Alloy 800 but has higher resistance to water corrosion. Although not fully resistant to stress corrosion cracking in boiling magnesium chloride, Alloy 825 has good resistance in neutral chloride media.
