Inconel 600 ASME B16.9 elbows Long and Short Radius elbows
The high nickel content gives the alloy resistance to corrosion by many organic and inorganic compounds and also makes it virtually immune to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking.
When sulfur compounds are present as well, or for ammonium hydroxide service, 600 alloy is suggested. 600 alloy is subject to stress corrosion cracking in hot, concentrated caustic alkalies. INCONEL 600 has moderate resistance to inorganic acids and good resistance to acetic, formic, stearic and other organic acids. It has excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures, and in addition to long-term continuous air oxidation environments, it also has excellent resistance to nitrogen, hydrogen and carburization.
