There are PN6 through PN64 pressure numbers corresponding to these classes and pressure capacities. The Nickel Alloy 600 Flanges are made up of 72% nickel, 14% chromium minimum with carbon, manganese, silicon, copper and iron in the composition. Similar to weld neck flanges, a blind flange could be used for high pressure applications as well. Typically the ASTM B564 Nickel 600 BLFR Flange is provided with a flat face, raised face or RTJ facing. Whereas Alloy 600 Threaded Flange produced under specification ASTM B564 are intended for low pressure applications while providing for a speedy join especially in those areas that are considered highly flammable and forging joints via welding may prove hazardous.
