Inconel 600 elbows minimize pressure drops and the turbulence inside the pipeline
Controlled chemical composition limits are applied in the nuclear industry to eliminate the risk of stress corrosion cracking by high purity water containing chloride ions.
INCONEL 600 alloy is widely used in the chemical industry for its strength and corrosion resistance. Applications include heaters, stills, foam columns and condensers for processing fatty acids, evaporator tubes, tube sheets and sheet trays for the manufacture of sodium sulfide; and equipment for handling abietic acids in pulp production. At room temperature, this type of alloy has an excellent impact strength and maintains nearly all of that strength at low temperatures. There is no tough-to-brittle transition as temperature drops when you use Inconel 600.
