Nickel Alloy 600, also sold under the brand name Inconel 600.
It is a unique nickel-chromium alloy that is known for its oxidation resistance at higher temperatures. Alloy 600 is a nonmagnetic, nickel-based high temperature alloy possessing an excellent combination of high strength, hot and cold workability, and resistance to corrosion. Alloy 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron solid solution strengthened alloy with a nominal chemical composition of 72% nickel, 16% chromium, and 8% iron. It is highly versatile and can be used in everything from cryogenics to applications that present elevated temperatures up to 2000¡ãF (1093¡ãC).
