inconel 600 N06600 flanges with butt welding tee

The versatility of INCONEL 600 alloy allows it to be used in a variety of applications involving temperatures ranging from cryogenic temperatures to over 2000¡ãF (1095¡ãC).

This alloy is widely used in the chemical industry for its strength and corrosion resistance. Applications include heaters, stills, bubble columns, and condensers for fatty acid processing; evaporator tubes, tube sheets, and sheeting trays for the manufacture of sodium sulfide; and equipment for processing abietic acid in pulp production.

The high nickel content makes the alloy resistant to corrosion by many organic and inorganic compounds and virtually immune to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Chromium imparts resistance to sulfur compounds and also provides resistance to high temperatures or oxidizing conditions in corrosive solutions.

It resists chemical attack by inorganic and organic compounds. The material performs very well in low temperature environments, maintaining good ductility at temperatures below -300 F. It retains up to 80% of its tensile strength at temperatures approaching 800 F (425 C) and up to 70% at 1100 F (590 C). In the annealed condition, the material is capable of (980 C) temperature.
