Inconel 625 bolt for Bellows and expansion joints
INCONEL 625 is a nickel-chromium alloy with an addition of molybdenum and niobium. These additions give the alloy better mechanical properties and better corrosion resistance without having to harden the material.
Inconel 625 is a nickel-chromium based superalloy that is extremely resistant to corrosion and strong at high temperatures. Inconel 625 is a corrosion and oxidation-resistant nickel-base alloy. It has outstanding strength and toughness in the temperature range cryogenic to 2000oF (1090oC) thanks to the solid solution effects of columbium and molybdenum in a nickel-chromium matrix. The microstructure of conventionally processed Inconel 625 consists of equiaxed grains of the face-centered cubic (fcc) gamma phase, with small amounts of Laves phase and carbides possible.
